Items of Interest Q1 2010
Dear Friends, Despite the ever-present
preponderance of worrisome economic news, 2010 is here with a burst of new, positive energy. Among the variety of undertakings
keeping us on our toes these days— print, electronic and strategic-- are the following:
• American Flag Posters: Posters now included in Library of Congress collections: As of December 2009, the
StandWeUnited series of seven patriotic posters is included in the Library's Prints and Photographs Division. • New law firm in
town, FoleyCerilli PC: aaaForay has provided the original graphic identity and brand development for FoleyCerilli,
“Counselors at Law, A Professional Corporation.” We collaborated with a Providence design agency in the design
and development of the new website, launched in latter 2009— see FoleyCerilli
• For Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts, aaaForay designed
a view book which will be distributed to current and prospective students.
•
For Gordon School, an independent elementary and secondary school, we are designing promotional
material for the annual Visiting Artists Program.
• For Green Energies, aaaForay is designing labels for an innovative solar lighting project to be distributed in Africa
and Haiti.
• APOLLO Safety: aaaForay is providing
design counsel and products from our branded collection of posters and related items (see American Flag Posters) to a local safety equipment technology company.

• CCN&F: aaaForay has been hired to help name, brand and grow a new, web-based enterprise which will offer products and services
reflecting recent advances in nutritional science and well-being. Stay-tuned!
• The Fall River Mill Owner’s Association: As
one of the co-founders of FRMOA, let me relate-- we held our first breakfast MISSION presentation several weeks ago. Represented
in the audience were Mayor Flanagan, the National Historic Preservation Trust, Massachusetts Development, banking and financial
services professionals, city mill owners and visionaries-- one of whom has had success developing mills in the Providence,
RI region. On an overcast, blustery morning we had a strong turn-out. We were able to share a great many ideas as to how to
position the approximately 65 mills in the City (and an estimated 10M square feet of space) for growth and new prosperity--
as the hub of entrepreneurial energy in the Southcoast Region over the years just ahead.
• Fall River Energy Enterprise (FREE): I
can report the vision to transform Fall River into a model City of 21st Century Prosperity is in a winter mode, but supported
by the new Mayor, Will Flanagan, among many other Fall River-ites. Sub-committees are completing feasibility work. The Army
Corps of Engineers, National Park Service, Mass Highways, State representatives and multiple city constituencies including
the Chamber of Commerce are also supportive of this far-reaching plan. (Google Fall River Energy Enterprise). As co-founder
of this undertaking, I am optimistic the City will eventually commit to such a long-term vision, one that holds promise for
the region, and beyond.
• Wind Energy in City
of Fall River: On a related note, as Co-Chair of the Wind subcommittee, I can say
it is exciting to be developing a comprehensive wind energy vision for the city that would embrace and hold feasible the increasing
practicality of wind-energy (solar, also river and Narragansett Bay tidal energies are included in the master plan, in addition
to mill restoration and retrofit) as it can be incorporated into the long-term vision of the City’s eventual prosperity.

Original LED Product: aaaForay is continuing to develop a multi-functional LED product,
one we think may play a role in the transformation of the lighting industry, currently underway. In this exciting undertaking,
engineering and prototyping are the tasks at hand.

American Flag Posters: Our series of posters ( http://www.americanflagposters.us ) designed to help inspire us out of our national trough has been re-issued and continues
to grow in popularity, though only out a month, or so. As of December, 2009, the entire original series of seven StandWeUnited®
“Who We Are™” posters were added to the Library of Congress’ Prints and Photographs Division. This
follows on a gold award this portfolio of posters won in the international poster annual competition held by Graphis Annual,
2007 (http://www.graphis.com). To this assortment we have added the new Revival Series, consisting of the same verses
as the original, each printed beneath the high-resolution image of the American flag, above— in a vertical format. American
Flag Posters are now available on both paper and canvas. • Moving ahead: Recently, I have found myself in animated discussions with professionals
across various business sectors who are working diligently each day to plan for the future. One executive said, “We
are planning for ten years of prosperity, getting everything in place, ready to go.” This heartening perspective seems
particularly timely, American, in spirit. Let’s continue to rebuild our own house, help those in need, count blessings
and keep the faith.
Yes! We
would welcome the opportunity to become your “design firm of record!”
Here is my sentiment much of the time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9fKZdfBeqc Very truly,
