FREE Task Force Announced How
about a self-sustainable, alternative energy-powered, substantially green, 21st century New England city? After months of preparation since the original public introduction of the Fall River Energy Enterprise, the FREE Task Force is now public having been made so during a cocktail-hour presentation at the famous Quequechan Club on September 1, 2009. Under the direction
of Alan Amaral, President of the Office of Economic Develoment, ably assisted by Ken Fiola, Executive Vice President of the
Office of Economic Development, the FREE vision has been given formal structure and leadership after open invitations were
extended to members of the community to step forward to bring this concept into reality in the years just ahead. For
a more detailed report, you may wish to Google Fall River Energy Enterprise, or key word search the Fall River Herald. An announcement chronicling this story is added as a .pdf download at the top of the page. On the right is the logo expressing the FREE initiative; at once the sun, rays
of sunlight illuminating the earth below; wind, the sail of the sailboat-- moving across the water, below, all natural, fundamental
forms of energy all being called into play to steward our environment in a long-term, sustainable fashion.
